Ideas for our next contest?While we are currently hosting "Tales of Time" Contest we'd also like to host another contest but we'd really like to know what kind of contest you guys would be interested in entering.  Such as theme, subject, type (media) etc etc
Now there are a few things we have to mention like first please don't say "I want to enter any literature contest" because we had so many complaints that our NBC contest was visual only and so we did a seperate NBC lit contest and there was only 4 people who entered it which made the whole point very pointless.  So please be more descriptive like "I would like to enter a literature contest where we have to create a poem inspired by the hobbit in the eyes of Mr Baggins himself" - more descriptive on what exactly you would like to do.  Please also read any other comments posted here and give your opinions on them so that we can whittle it down and bring you
The Roommate DemandsSo my roommate yet again demanded that I write in my journal. Not sure what I'm going to write since I pretty much have nothing to say but life is keeping me busy. Work and classes have left me little free time and not being able to have an animal in the apartment means less Gordie pictures. I hope to be able to post more pictures after Nebraskon but we shall see. So roomie, this one was for you.

Design an outfit inspired by the games that you can wear or would love to wear OR design a t-shirt! A metalhead-inspired dress, some new threads for Ashelin, an ugly Christmas Precursor sweater, a racing tee, etc. It can be cute, edgy, sleek or modern, whatever you like.

If you enjoy writing short stories, and enjoy getting prizes for your work, then here's something that might appeal to you ;)
I would like to start a kind of "QUARTERLY S/S CHALLENGE" (S/S: Short Story) and offer rewards for the story I am most impressed by :D if the idea catches a lot of activity, then I could even open the winning to a vote-- but more of that later, now, for the Parameters!!!!
All you have to do to enter is write a short story

What honestly humbles me the most when it comes to dA, is that even when I am doing absolutely nothing, and seldom comment on your stuff lately (It's not due to me being uninterested, I just have become super busy lately, and I need to adjust my classwork/dA work) I still average at least 50 pageviews a day. I think that is lovely. While I don't look at pageviews when it comes to popularity, it's nice that my inactivity has made it so I am not forgotten.
So to show my appreciation, I would really like to kick my first year off on dA with a BANG. And that is with what? Making my own contest, with what as a grand prize? A One-Year Premium Membership

Results of August's ToM and September's ThemeHey there, everyone!
With the end of August it's time to announce the winners of last month's Theme of the Month!
First of all, I'd like to say that all of your entries were absolutely beautiful. They all told of a singular viewpoint that showed us how you came to be the person you are today. Though artists are always creating and exploring, wandering from home and testing boundaries, we all have to delve into who we are upon occasion- back to our roots once again.
The winners in this contest are in no way better than the other entries, as your stories are all equal pieces of yourselves. I can't judge a piece of yourselves any more than I can claim one better than another. This is based purely on the beauty of the piece, it's structure, and how well of a window we could see through.
Enough with that, let's get on to the winners!
